Where LinkedIn Puts See More, and What to Do
LinkedIn cuts a post after two or three lines. Here is where the fold actually falls, why it differs on mobile, and how to write the visible part.

Why LinkedIn's see more fold has no exact number
- Line breaks. A deliberate break ends a line early and consumes part of your budget.
- Word length. Long words wrap sooner.
- Screen width. A phone shows fewer characters per line than a desktop.
Writing the visible part
- A specific claim. "We cut our onboarding from 14 days to 3."
- An admission. "I got this wrong for two years."
- A number with context. "Four out of five applicants skip this step."
- Throat-clearing. "I've been thinking a lot recently about…"
- A greeting. Nobody expands to read hello.
- The word "thread" or an emoji ladder. Both signal formatting rather than substance.
