Overview
About this tool
Groups a keyword list into clusters on shared content words, weighted by rarity so that "instagram" in an Instagram dump counts for almost nothing and "carousel" counts for a lot. Picks each pillar from your own phrases rather than inventing a head term, keeps different search intents apart, and flags the near-duplicates that make a site compete with itself.
Instructions
How to use it
One keyword per line. A trailing number is read as a search volume and used to pick the pillar, so a CSV column pasted straight in works.
What the grouping is, and is not
It is lexical: phrases are clustered on shared words, weighted so a rare word counts far more than a common one. Real cluster tools group by SERP overlap — whether Google returns the same pages for both — which needs ranking data this does not have and will not invent. Treat the output as a first sort, not a verdict.
Intent splits a topic into two pages
"What is a carousel" and "carousel maker" are the same subject and two different pages. A guide ranking for a "generator" query loses to anything that simply is one, so the two are never grouped.
Questions
Frequently asked
What is keyword clustering?
Grouping a keyword list so each group becomes one page. It is how you avoid writing two posts that compete for the same query, which is the most common self-inflicted SEO problem.
How does this cluster keywords?
On shared content words, weighted by inverse document frequency so a rare shared word counts far more than a common one. It does not use SERP data, and says so.
Why are similar keywords in different clusters?
Different search intent. "What is X" and "X generator" share words and need different pages, so they are kept apart unless you turn that off.
What is the pillar of a cluster?
The page the cluster becomes. Here it is always a real phrase from your own list — the highest-volume one, or the shortest carrying the cluster’s defining words — because an invented head term is one nobody searches.
