It composes rather than truncates
The usual approach is to write the long bio and paste it everywhere, which leaves TikTok showing half a sentence. This assembles the longest run of facts that fits each limit and reports which ones it had to drop — a bio ending in "…" says its author did not check.
Two structural facts
- Line breaks survive on Instagram and disappear on X and the LinkedIn headline, so a bio designed as four lines arrives there as one paragraph.
