Overview
About this tool
Generates a scannable SVG QR code with your own foreground and background colours, and checks the two things that actually break codes in the wild: not enough contrast, and an error-correction level too low for the surface it is going on.
Instructions
How to use it
Paste the link or text the code should carry, set your colours, and download the SVG. The code points straight at your URL — there is no redirect through us, so it cannot stop working if we do.
Error correction is the setting that matters
- L — about 7% damage tolerated. Screens only.
- M — about 15%. Fine for a slide or a web page.
- Q — about 25%. The default here, and the right choice for print.
- H — about 30%. Use it if a logo will sit over the code.
Questions
Frequently asked
Does the code expire?
No. It encodes your URL directly rather than routing through a shortener, so nothing on our side can break it later.
How big should I print it?
A rough rule: the code should be at least a tenth of the distance people scan from. Two metres away means a 20 cm code.
