Overview
About this tool
Counts a phrase in a description, reports its density and its first position, says whether it lands above that surface’s fold, and lists the terms the text is genuinely dense in beside it. There is no correct density and no search engine publishes one; position and presence are what this report is actually for.
Instructions
How to use it
Paste the copy, give it the phrase it is supposed to be about, and pick where the text goes. Secondary phrases go one per line.
Position beats density, every time
YouTube shows roughly the first 150 characters of a description before “…more”. TikTok cuts a caption at around 90 and Instagram at 125. A phrase that appears fourteen times starting at word 300 is, on all of those surfaces, a phrase that does not appear.
The column you did not ask for
The second table lists what the text is actually dense in, whether or not you asked for it. When your target phrase is not in that list, the copy is about something else — which is a more useful finding than any percentage.
Questions
Frequently asked
What is a good keyword density?
There isn’t one. No search engine publishes a target, and the “1–2%” figure repeated everywhere has no source behind it. Presence and position are checkable; a percentage is not a goal.
Where should the keyword go in a YouTube description?
In the first 150 characters, because that is what shows before “…more”. Once, early and naturally, beats six times further down.
Is keyword stuffing still a problem?
It reads as repetition to a person long before it reads as anything to a search engine, which is the practical cost. Past about 4% the tool says so.
Why does it show terms I did not ask about?
Because the gap between the phrase you targeted and the terms the copy is dense in is the finding. If your target is missing from that list, the text is about something else.
