How to Make a Fake TikTok Comment Image
Comment-as-hook is a format now. Here is how to draw a TikTok comment card that reads as real, including the Creator chip almost every generator gets wrong.
To make a fake TikTok comment image, type the username and the comment into a generator, set the counts, and export the card. It takes about ten seconds and gives you a sharp image at any size — where catching the real thing means screenshotting a phone, cropping the status bar and the keyboard out, and living with the compression.

Almost every generator gets at least one of these wrong, and each of them is noticeable to anybody who uses the app daily.
The Creator chip. TikTok marks the video's own author with a small grey chip reading "Creator", placed after the handle. It is not a heart, and it is not in the action row — that is YouTube's convention, and borrowing it is the fastest tell there is.
The age format. TikTok writes
3h, never "3 hours ago". A spelled-out relative time under a TikTok comment is wrong at a glance even though almost nobody could tell you the rule.The heart column. The like button sits at the right edge of the card with its count underneath it, not inline with "Reply". A comment card with a heart in the action row is a YouTube card wearing TikTok's colours.
Dark or light
Dark, almost always. The TikTok app is dark by default and that is what people recognise; a light TikTok comment reads as unfamiliar even to somebody who has never consciously noticed the theme.
The light version matches the web comment panel, and it is the one to use when the card has to sit on a white page — a blog post, a printed deck, a document — where a black rectangle would fight the layout.
The counts, and making them plausible
Two things to get right.
TikTok abbreviates counts as
1K, 5.2K, 1.4M, with one decimal place and no trailing zero — it writes 5K, never 5.0K. Generators that print a raw 5000 are immediately wrong.And the ratio matters more than the numbers. A comment with 12,400 likes and no replies is odd; one with more replies than likes is odder. If you are mocking up for a presentation, take the shape from a real comment you have seen rather than picking round numbers.
You can also mark the comment as pinned, which draws the small label TikTok puts above a pinned comment, and as liked by creator, which adds the line underneath. Both are common in the comment-as-hook format, because both are what make a comment worth screenshotting in the first place.

What the card is and is not
It draws whatever you type. It is a mock-up, not proof, and it carries no verified badge on purpose.
The risk here is sharper than for a static post mock-up, and it is worth naming plainly: a comment card used as the hook on a video reaches a great deal further than any correction ever will. Putting a real person's handle on words they did not write is not a grey area, and "it was obviously a joke" is a defence that stops working the moment the clip is reposted without your caption.

Can I add an avatar?
Yes, and it never leaves your browser — the card is drawn on a canvas locally. Left blank, it draws the username's initials, which is usually the better choice for a mock-up: an invented comment attached to a real face is the version that causes trouble.
What does the Creator chip actually mean?
That the comment was left by the account that posted the video. Turn it on when you are mocking up a creator replying in their own comments.
What size should I export?
2× is right for a slide or a video overlay at 1080p. Go to 3× if the card will fill most of a vertical frame, where a 1× export will look soft.
Is this a screenshot of a real comment?
No, and it cannot be. It draws text you typed, which is exactly why no card from it should ever be presented as evidence of what somebody said.
