Fake Instagram Post Generator
Mock up an Instagram post, caption fold and all.
- 100% success
Overview
About this tool
Draws an Instagram post the way the feed draws it — square, portrait or landscape, light or dark — and cuts the caption where Instagram cuts it, so you can see the sentence that disappears behind “… more”.
Instructions
How to use it
Enter the username and caption, choose the post shape, and download the card. The photo itself is drawn as a marked placeholder at the right aspect ratio.
The caption fold
Instagram shows roughly the first 125 characters of a caption in the feed and hides the rest behind “… more”. The card greys the hidden half in place rather than dropping it, because seeing which sentence gets cut is the point — a caption whose hook lands at character 140 is a caption nobody reads.
Why the photo is a placeholder
Deliberately. What people are checking is the caption, the username and the shape; a tool that composited a real photograph into a real-looking post would be a forgery kit rather than a mock-up tool. Drop your image in behind the card in whatever you are building.
Questions
Frequently asked
Can I upload the actual photo?
No, by design — see above. The placeholder sits at Instagram’s own aspect ratio, so dropping your image in behind it lines up exactly.
Does it do Stories or Reels?
This draws feed posts. For Story and Reels dimensions, the Story Template Sizer and the Reels Cover Cropper are the tools you want.
Where exactly does the caption get cut?
Around 125 characters, but Instagram varies it slightly by device and font size, so treat it as a strong guide rather than a hard boundary. Anything past the fold should be a detail, never the hook.
Can I use this to make a fake account look real?
Please do not, and be aware that impersonating a real person or brand is illegal in most jurisdictions and against Instagram’s terms everywhere.
