Overview
About this tool
Checks a handle against the length and character rules of eight networks, then requests the public profile page where that is possible — and says plainly which platforms block automated checks rather than guessing on your behalf.
Instructions
How to use it
Type the handle without the @. Every network here is case-insensitive, so case is ignored. Each row shows two separate things: whether the handle is even legal on that platform, and whether anybody is currently using it.
Why some rows say “check manually”
Instagram, TikTok, X and Threads answer automated requests with a login wall, so the honest answer is that we cannot see. Those rows link straight to the profile — one click tells you. A tool that guessed here would eventually tell you a taken handle was free, which is worse than admitting the limit.
Questions
Frequently asked
Why is the handle invalid on X but fine on Instagram?
X requires 4–15 characters and allows only letters, numbers and underscores. Instagram allows periods and up to 30 characters. The rules genuinely differ per network, which is why the same name is not always available as-is.
Should I register the same handle everywhere?
Yes, even on networks you do not use yet. Consistency is worth more than the perfect name, and reclaiming a handle somebody else took is close to impossible.
