Overview
About this tool
Deals a tag pool round-robin across as many posts as you plan, so every tag is used once before any is used twice — which puts the maximum distance between repeats, unlike shuffling. Keeps anchor tags on every post, checks the set size against each network, and computes exactly when the pool must start recycling.
Instructions
How to use it
Paste the pool — one per line, or separated by spaces or commas, with or without the hash. Put your brand and series tags in the anchors box; they appear on every post and come out of the per-post budget.
The honest reason to rotate
It is coverage, not safety. No network publishes a penalty for reusing a tag set, and the claim that Instagram flags identical blocks traces back to nobody. What is true is that a fixed block of 30 reaches the same 30 tag pages every time, and a rotated pool reaches more of them. That is enough of an argument.
Why round-robin instead of shuffling
A shuffle covers the same tags and spaces them much worse — a tag can reappear two posts later by chance. Dealing in rounds means everything is used once before anything is used twice, which is exactly what maximises the gap.
Questions
Frequently asked
Should you rotate hashtags?
For coverage, yes — a rotated pool reaches more tag pages than a fixed block. Not for safety: no network publishes a penalty for reusing a set, whatever the advice says.
How many hashtags can you use on Instagram?
Thirty, across the caption and first comment combined. A post with 31 has its caption rejected rather than trimmed.
How big should a hashtag pool be?
Several times your set size. To fill ten posts with twelve rotating tags without repeating, the pool needs 120 — below that the tool says exactly when recycling starts.
Why not just shuffle the tags?
Because a shuffle can bring a tag back two posts later. Dealing round-robin uses everything once before anything twice, which is the maximum possible spacing.
