About this tool
Sorts your links by why somebody taps them — the thing your latest post was about first, the perennial links last — flags the labels that describe the click rather than the destination, and marks the rows that fall below the fold on a phone. Links sharing an intent keep the order you typed them, because you know which of your two shops matters.
Instructions
How to use it
One link label per line. Add "| intent" to set an intent explicitly; otherwise it is guessed from the words.
The ordering rule
Somebody taps a bio link seconds after watching one specific thing, looking for that thing. So it goes first, and the shop and the newsletter go below it — not because they matter less to you, but because the people who want them will scroll and the people who want the recipe from the video will not.
Labels need a noun
"Link", "Click here", "Shop now" and "My website" are the four labels that lose the most taps, because they describe the click rather than what happens after it. "Read the sourdough guide" is tapped and "Blog" is not.
Questions
Frequently asked
What order should link-in-bio links be in?
Whatever your latest post was about, then the one action you most want, then more of the same content, then commerce, socials and about. The first row gets most of the taps by position alone.
How many links should a link-in-bio page have?
About five, because that is what fits a phone before scrolling. More than eight is a menu, and a menu is a decision.
What makes a bad link label?
One with no noun in it. "Click here" and "Shop now" describe the click; a label should describe where the tap lands.
Which link should be at the top?
The one matching whatever you posted an hour ago. It is the only row that needs changing regularly, and it is the single biggest improvement available to most link pages.
