Overview
About this tool
Takes your pillars and their weights and deals them into a concrete slot-by-slot rotation, using largest-remainder apportionment for the counts and a divisor method for the order — so each pillar appears its share of the time and is spread as evenly as that share allows. It does not invent pillars from a niche, because a pillar you did not choose is one you stop posting by week three.
Instructions
How to use it
One pillar per line, optionally with a weight — "Tutorials 40". Weight all of them or none: a mixed list makes the unweighted ones vanishingly rare, so the tool treats it as even instead.
The rotation is the output, not the pillar list
Everyone can name four themes. The plan fails at the point where three posts of the same pillar go out in a row because that is the order the ideas arrived in, and the fourth pillar has not appeared for two months.
Why not just shuffle
A shuffle produces runs. Each slot here goes to whichever pillar is furthest behind its entitlement — the same divisor method parliaments use to allocate seats — which spreads them as evenly as the weights allow and is deterministic, so the same input gives the same plan.
Questions
Frequently asked
What are content pillars?
A handful of recurring themes, so neither you nor the audience has to start from nothing each week. Three to six works; past six the audience stops recognising a pattern.
How do I rotate content pillars?
Deal them so that every pillar is used once before any is used twice, weighted by share. That maximises the distance between repeats — which a shuffle does not.
How many content pillars should I have?
Three to six. Fewer than three is a channel rather than a plan; more than six is a list of topics, which is where you were before.
Why does it not suggest pillars for my niche?
Because a generated set of four themes is the same four it would give everybody in your niche, and a pillar you did not choose is one you abandon.
